What is a friend?

When you look up the definition of a friend this is what you might find, a person you known well and regard with affection and trust,  

But with today's dog eat dog world to find a true friend is rare indeed and something to cherish as much as gold dust.

When you have the unique pleasure of finding these types of friends you should appreciate them in every way,

Reward them with things no matter how small, just a thank you note or a just a smile to make their day.

A friend is someone you would never ever hurt in anyway, you'd stick with them till the end no matter the cost,

This is the kind of friend Jesus was for us when he  paid that ultimate price for us and hung on that cross.

How many friends in today's world would lay down their lives for you, or are they type friends that the first chance they got they'd throw you in front of that bus instead?

I've had friends whom I wouldn't gone to the end of the earth for just to find out they were a wolf in sheep's clothing, that needed to be shed.

The bible tells us to beware of these false prophets, this is the same when it comes to friendships,

We need to trust people as much as we can but be cautious as well for in the end we don't want to be sent for flips.

When you find yourself wondering about a true friend trust in them, obey what God's word tells you,

And if they are a true friend they'll always be there for you and never turn away for any reason no matter what you are going through.

Matthew 7:15

 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
