Happy Halloween

Halloween is for the children, or the child with in,

People can make it out to what ever they choose it to be again and again,

But lets enjoy it as a child would enjoy the fun of the day,

Dress up in your favorite costume and have fun in any way.

Because how often can we choose to be anyone or anything we want to be,

Though others may think of it as an evil day I as one must disagree.

For the way the world is today any day can be constructed as a day of evil not just hallow's eve,

But I guess its just what you choose to believe.

Just as in this picture  see how the sun cast a shadow on the rock,

I see a witch on her broom ready to ride with her hat and frock.

You may choose to see something else but just remember a few things,

Halloween is what you make of it, so choose to have fun, laugh at the costumes, and enjoy what ever the day brings.

Fall afternoon

The sun peeks through the fall trees

Giving a glorious glow to the yellow leaves

The rays of the sun come shinning through to show off the color

We can sit a watch till it slowly gets smaller.

When you get the chance to enjoy the beauty of the glow,

I could give you chills from head to toe.

The wind blows the leaves off one by one,

Till soon all you have is none.

But till then sit and enjoy the beauty along with the sun,

Because on a fall afternoon what else could be more fun?

Psalm 50:1

 The mighty God,

 even the LORD, hath spoken,

 and called the earth from the 

rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.

In a Big Way....

Don't worry! The bible tells us to take no thought for your life, what you eat, drink basically because you can't change what He has made you.
We don't have to know the answers for everything, this is true.


We must learn to trust in what the Lord has planned for us and let things go,
We cannot spend another day on things we cannot change, for they don't matter and with God you need not anguish over it you must know.


We need to be happy with our lives for there is no reason for us to let the ways of others and the devil working through others destroy our day,
It's not how things are that happen in your everyday life it's truly how you act toward those things on your way.


I guarantee there are many times good things have happened to you and you had no idea how that could have happened that way.
This is God's work and a  person in faith doesn't have to worry where their next meal is coming from, where their going to get heat for the winter nor where they plan to stay.


You will find peace and joy in knowing you have nothing to worry about for all is taken care of and all prices have been paid.
So pick yourself up turn things over to the only one who can help you get through things and never, never be afraid.


A lot of times we think our problems are far worse than they are, take a long look around at the people see as you travel onward.
How many of those people are far much worse off than you are and now you should realize it's your duty to pay it forward.


A lot of people are down because of the way others treat them, but what they may not realize is they too can let it go.
And you may be the one person who was sent their way to let them know or help them and with God teach them to grow.


 If you've ever asked God to use you to help others or be a blessing in someone's life then you need not pass over these people.
For they were sent to you for a reason, they just may be that person you've asked God to use you for so be needful.


Think of it this way, the bible tells us when the last person is saved we'll all get to go to heaven,
What if that person you passed on the street needing money, food or just a few kind words was that last person,  Oh what a blessing.


Many times we just speak the word but not live the word, and this is what's wrong with many things around us today.
We need to start believing, teaching and trusting in God's word before it's too late and do this in a big way.

Matthew 6:25-28

 ²⁵Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

 ²⁶Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

 ²⁷Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

 ²⁸And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

Stay away....

How can you like someone if at first you don't like yourself?

You must first become clear before you can share with others the joy of oneself.

How can you see the mountains on a cloudy day?

You cannot so therefore you couldn't ask someone else to do the same with them in the way.

Stop trying to be something you're not, because people know when it's real and not just fake,

And as someone who's a believer of personal accountability I find days where it's hard to take.

You need to wake up start enjoying what you have, leave behind all the harmful baggage,

And begin to mend those relationships, if there is something there to salvage.

There's nothing worse that an artificial friend, someone who pretends to care, 

I know you've seen them they use you for personal gain then toss you to the side so beware.

But you don't have to fall victim to this type of devilish way,

Learn to watch for the signs and from it stay away.

For as a child of God you have a built in alert system, its that thing you feel when you know something just isn't right,

You have the instinct to walk away, stay away but remember to always be polite.

Because when you choose to stay and become a part of that type of destructive behavior,

Then you'll need to turn to the only thing that can help you and that's your Savior,

Psalm 13:5

 But I have trusted in thy mercy;
 my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.

Blessed are they that mourn....

When we lose someone we love is a very painful thing, and unfortunately it's something we all have to  go through at one or more times in our life,
But not to make it any easier there's a string of emotions that we all get slammed with, that we must try to deal with once they arrive.


We may feel, shock, anger and even sometimes guilt, and most of all sadness which seems to never end,
While these feelings are somewhat frighting, we must have them if we ever expect to mend.


These feelings we all feel are normal reactions to the situation at hand, and we must allow ourselves time to go through the grieving,
We also need to accept them and allow our self to feel what's necessary for the healing.


While there certainly no wrong or right way to grieve, but I know from experience that turning things over to God is a healthy save way to cope.
Matthew 5:4 tells us: 'Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted' and this truly gives us hope.


While the loved one you've lost may not be on this earth any longer,
They may not be having to suffer pain, deal with problems and they could be walking the streets of glory! That in itself should give you comfort, peace and make you stronger.


While we're always told time heals all wounds, this is no comfort to the heart,
But with God's helping hand it really can be a new start.

Revelation 21:4


 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

The reflection

Like the reflections on the river we must look at what reflection we send out for others to see,

We must first take a long look at ourselves before to others a blessing we'll be.

When you take a look into that mirror do you see the type of person you've always wanted to become?

Or do you find someone for which you want to flee or run?

God tells us through him we can do anything, we must believe this and start seeing that in ourselves,

Because if you don't believe it then how can you expect anyone else to see it for themselves?

If don't remember anything I tell you know this...You can never, never change anyone but you!!!  Yes this is a bitter pill to swallow,

But in order to get things you want or need you're the one who's got to change and begin to lead instead of follow.

Did you know that when asked 4 out of 5 people say their number one pet peeve at work is people not taking ownership of their actions. 

If you do something wrong they're is no crime in admitting to it, no one is perfect nor does anyone like these types of distractions.

You need to stop being afraid, start respecting yourself, stop letting people take advantage of you,

But you need to know that once you begin to live in the word things will indeed become tougher but also worth all the new.

This may be hard at first and you may find obstacles along the way but know they are just devilish road blocks,

We need stop people from walking all over us and stand up to them and be steadfast like rocks.

We need to be all we can be for the glory of God, and learn to love ourselves as he's loved us,

For he'll always be there and he is the only true one we can trust.

Job 9:21-22

 ²¹Though I were perfect,
yet would I not know my soul:
I would despise my life.

 ²²This is one thing,
therefore I said it,
He destroyeth the perfect and the wicked.

Psalm 56:3

 What time I am afraid,

 I will trust in thee.

What about jealously?

I once read the quote ' The jealous know nothing, suspect much, and fear everything'
One of the definitions you might find for jealousy is:  feeling resentment against someone because of that person's rivalry, success, or advantages... isn't that just something.


We shouldn't be jealous of other people's accomplishments, nor put them down unless your willing to go through what they have to get where they are,
Many people have things handed to them without having to work hard to get it and those are the ones without a scar.


Also you may find many people throughout your day that just don't have to pull their weight and still get rewarded just the same.
Just remember this, in the eyes of the one who matters it is truly known and you don't need to play their game.


And always remember the one who talks the most usually knows the least, just the same as the squeakiest wheel gets the oil,
So don't let their ignorance and loudness end up letting your day spoil.


The bible tells us Judge not, and ye shall not be judged, and hurting people with back biting ways is no way to get ahead.
The bible also tells us we must work to earn what we have, for example faith without works is dead.


So the next time you find yourself with that jealous bone itching know this, think of it as a swarm of bees,
Once it get stirred up it just causes as raging mess that just ends up stinging someone and most of the time it's the one who agitated them to begin with so just stop please.

Proverbs 6:34

 For jealousy is the rage of a man: 

therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance.

James 3:16

 For where envying and strife is,
 there is confusion and every evil work.

James 2:26

For as the body without the spirit is dead,
 so faith without works is dead also.

The Joy of Fall

The joy of the Fall season brings us some of the most adored colors of the year that we get to hold dear,

We get to celebrate another year of the harvest with the celebration of hallow's eve each year.

The smell of the bonfires, the raking of the fallen leaves are just some of the enjoyment,

We take long ride in the mountains just to capture that one special photographic print.

Bobbing for apples and trick or treating are also some of the other great amusements,

We also begin to feel the cold weather creeping into the night causing us to wake up to frosty tints.

Corn mazes, haunted trails and decorating begins for the seasons,

We love to show off our talents and for good reasons,

For when Fall is done and winter rolls in our way it'll be time for Winter and snowy days,

Then we'll begin another decorating tradition for everyone to view and amaze.

Genesis 8:22

 While the earth remaineth, 

seedtime and harvest,

 and cold and heat, 

and summer and winter,

 and day and night shall not cease

Peace & Joy

If there's one thing we must all have in our lives its Hope,

Without it we are like trying to climb a slippery slope.

We must all have faith, joy and believe in the power of the Holy Ghost,

With these things we can get through anything from pillar to post.

If we trust in his mighty power we can make it through any thing we face in our path,

When all is down and out if we'll just turn over everything we hath.

He will guide us to the place where we'll find peace and joy,

That way we can always spend our lasting days doing what we enjoy.

Romans 15:13

 Now the God of hope fill you with all

 joy and peace in believing,

 that ye may abound in hope,

 through the power of the Holy Ghost.

The calming of the ducks.

The ducks glide gently across the fall leaves as they search the lake for more to eat,

One is left to look out while the other dips his head into the lake for the sweet treat.

The beauty of  these animals as they pedal across the lake can calm the greatest hearts,

You can just sit and enjoy them for hours as they swim and collect they're stuff and do their parts.

Some times they get tired and sit on the bank in the sun, but most of the time they enjoy the crowd,

Who come from all over just to feed them and to see them swim and show off their talents so proud.

In the fall you also get to view the leaves as they float along the lake beside the duck,

Not to mention the beautiful trees along the paths that change, you'll also get to view this to with any luck.

So when you've nothing to do and want a place just to relax,

Take a trip to the lake and watch the ducks as they enjoy their snacks.

Job 35:11

 Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, 

and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven?

The Flag & One Nation Under God

I am the Flag of the United States of America, I'm still allowed fly in front of many buildings,

Even though if it were up to many I would be locked away where no one could see me rippling,

I stand for something in this Country, I lead our Mighty troops into battle where ever they go on their quest.

Leading the way to show their pride for a country who stands behind them as they do what they do best.

I am a symbol of unity for our nations's strength.  I'm also a source of pride and inspiration to the citizens of our land.

For over 200 years I've been an icon of strength, while many new comer's and political leaders would like to   to change the reason for which I Stand.

 Each color of my cloth has a meaning which you may not know so here is what they mean:

•  Red symbolizes Hardiness and Valor, 
• White symbolizes Purity and Innocence
• Blue represents Vigilance, Perseverance and Justice.

While you choose to stand and salute me as I pass by and while the National Anthem might play.

All I ask of you only a few small things of you as go about your day:

1. Always Place your hand  and stand when the pledge is said
2.  Keep me in Public places for I show what this country stands for and whence it came.
3. And always keep us a One Nation Under God for when you take God out of anything you've lost everything.

Genesis 12:2

  And I will make of thee a great nation,

 and I will bless thee, and make thy name great;

 and thou shalt be a blessing:

Compassion

I want a day without worries, a day to be free from pain, a day like a bird flying high on a fall day,

Or a day where all you have is the peaceful moon over the fall trees giving us such a display.

I want a day just to sit and view the oceans blue or mountains colored with the falls painted trees,

I long for a day to be away from the every day stress and strife and just to be plain free,

While everyone out there dreams of these days every now and then I know not long from now my day will come,

With the God's faith, love and all his promises I know one day a reality it will become.

But until that ever loving day arrives I'll have to rely on my imagination, faith and love,

To help me with all the stresses of what this day to day life brings and what I'll one day be free of.

Until then enjoy what you get from my photo's, poems and daily notes i give to you with passion,

Because I write them for everyone to enjoy and do it with lots of compassion.

Psalm 111:4

  He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: 

the LORD is gracious and full of compassion.

FALL

Its fall again at the lake as the trees begin to take their color of splendor

There seems to be times where the colors look as if they've been placed in a blender,

The colors change every fall yet we never know what they'll give us,

But till they begin their distortion we'll just have to guess.

This year we get the beauty of orange and red with yellow thrown in for that special contrast,

They're almost as gorgeous than the falls peak and the sudden colorful blast.

We'll get to enjoy them for a while till the seasons gone,

Enjoy the days the Lord has given us even if you have to begin at dawn.

We're never promised tomorrow so lets enjoy the beauty of today,

And trust the the almighty God above and all along the way.

1 Corinthians 2:9

 But as it is written, 

Eye hath not seen, '

nor ear heard,

 neither have entered into the heart of man,

 the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

Take time to find a rose

When you find a rose blooming late on a fall day you just want to admire its beauty even more,

We need to take the time to stop and look at all unusual things we run across and get out and explore.

Because time is all we have and once it's gone we cannot get it back nor can we get these memories back,

We need to find what it is that will get our lives on back on track.

It may be just a walk on the lake, or a trip to the mountains, or just a peaceful quiet time with yourself,

Like a rose and all Its pedals we have many layers we have to spend time tending to each of them in its self.

For if one of them is out of place then the whole flower isn't as beautiful as it could be,

This is isn't much different as the way you and I are to some degree.

Live your life to the fullest, don't allow anyone or anything to steal God's joy he has intended for you,

If what your doing now isn't making you happy then you need to start changing it and making it new.

Like the beauty this rose brings to the walkway for us to enjoy,

Your change can bring a smile on others faces just like a child on Christmas day with a new toy.

Psalm 118:24

  This is the day which the LORD hath made; 

we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Enjoy your day

How many times do you just get into your can drive to work and never look out your window to enjoy the  view?

We need to start taking time to enjoy the beautiful things God gives us daily just outside like the skies of blue.

He can also paint the mountains each year with extravagant colors that a paint brush would never see,

And we get the pleasure of having this in our live every day for free.

The clouds begin to settle over the mountain ridge showing off the blueness of the sky,

The Church steeple just placed to show off Gods glorious presence on high.

We must always take the time to enjoy natures views even though they are there every day,

Because with winds blowing, times changing, seasons leaving we never know what to expect  to come our way.

2 Thessalonians 1:4

 So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches

                              of God for your patience and faith 

in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:

Together

They sit and play in the water not a care in the world talking to each other in a language only they understand,

They flutter the water up and over the backs of their feathers as if to clean them off before they take off as planned.

They sometimes spend time up one the rocks to let the sun dry them off  or warm up no one really knows,

They'll enjoy the fall river cool as it flows soon winter sets in and then the water will be froze.

They may also gather some of these twigs and leaves to build a nest for the winter season,

But no on really knows the why they are here together nor the reason.

But no matter what the season they are just enjoying playing in the stream,

They just seem to be having fun playing around no matter the reason as long as it's in a team.

While these are only two little birds working together to to do their thing,

We can certainly learn from them as we sit and watch as they have their fling.

Working together as one to get thing done without a problem or troubles,

You'll never hear them fuss, complain nor make rumbles.

If only humans could take small lessons from the animals we see every day.

We may make our outcome better is more than more than one way.

Psalm 34:3

 O magnify the LORD with me,

 and let us exalt his name together.

Worth more

The cabin still sits in the field surrounded by acres of fields and cattle grazing and eating the grass where it grows.

You can just imagine how many children were raised on this farm over the years working the land  as they did long ago,

Now all you see is a tattered shell of the home and the cattle grazing in the fields, showing a beautiful mountains behind finishing off the landscape just perfect,

The old tree still grows on the property giving the view and silhouette to break up the sky from the lands majestic effect.

What a joy it must have been for the people who grew up in such a lovely place, 

You can just sit back and enjoy the view from just about anywhere on the land you choose with such grace.

While times may have seemed real simple back then and they seemed not to have much compared to today's time,

But I wouldn't trade the simpleness, love and Godly believe of America at that time for one single dime.

For in today's society you can take everything we own and have and pile it in one giant pile and you'll never have one tenth of one million,

Of what these people had for just a little trust and faith in God and that's worth ten trillion.

Hebrews 13:5

 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Dream a little dream

Have you ever had a day where you just wanted to escape from everything and take a day dream far away?

We need to start taking these little mind trips to relax our minds and bodies to release us from our stresses today.

We must pay attention to the way we allow people to take advantage of us and our personal spaces,

Or we'll never have time for ourselves down a beaten path that only the devil has sent you on one of his joy stealing chases.

We can not change the people around us or the way people act but we can change the way we respond to them and their actions toward us.

We can choose not to be a doormat to their world and allow them to be the devil's pawn to steal our happiness.

When you find yourself in one of these situations take a time out, sit down, take yourself out of the room with a day dream walk.

It may be a stroll by the beach where the ocean is beating on the sand and the waves are crashing in on the beach's rock.

Maybe its a stroll through the woods during the fall to see the leaves of the trees turning, if that where your mind wants to go,

It doesn't matter where it is you need to take yourself away to just take time for yourself and take God with you on that stroll.

God will help you through that wilderness and get you out the other side much better and happier than you've ever been in your life.

For he can help you will all your trouble no matter how big you might think they are, don't worry they are small to him and he'll fix all that strife.

And remember to always treat people the way you want to be treated for it's that rule that we've always been told even as a small child.

We must remember even the small things we can do in life can somehow be the best and easiest thing to make someone smile!

Matthew 7:12

Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

What is a friend?

When you look up the definition of a friend this is what you might find, a person you known well and regard with affection and trust,  

But with today's dog eat dog world to find a true friend is rare indeed and something to cherish as much as gold dust.

When you have the unique pleasure of finding these types of friends you should appreciate them in every way,

Reward them with things no matter how small, just a thank you note or a just a smile to make their day.

A friend is someone you would never ever hurt in anyway, you'd stick with them till the end no matter the cost,

This is the kind of friend Jesus was for us when he  paid that ultimate price for us and hung on that cross.

How many friends in today's world would lay down their lives for you, or are they type friends that the first chance they got they'd throw you in front of that bus instead?

I've had friends whom I wouldn't gone to the end of the earth for just to find out they were a wolf in sheep's clothing, that needed to be shed.

The bible tells us to beware of these false prophets, this is the same when it comes to friendships,

We need to trust people as much as we can but be cautious as well for in the end we don't want to be sent for flips.

When you find yourself wondering about a true friend trust in them, obey what God's word tells you,

And if they are a true friend they'll always be there for you and never turn away for any reason no matter what you are going through.

Matthew 7:15

 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Where is integrity?

How hard is it in today's world to do what you say you're going to do?

Is Integrity something that is gone from our lives today, is it so hard to do what you know is true?

By definition integrity is adherence to moral and ethical principles; or the state of being whole,

Know exactly what is for yourself, and what you want to be, if for anything to have peace your soul?

When you say one thing to some one then turn around and do just the opposite behind their back,

I can tell you now this is not the way to keep you or your integrity intact.

I know from past experience that people have a bad side to them and they will do things to get ahead,

There's nothing wrong with trying to better yourself, except you need to make sure you are doing it for the right reasons and with respect in order to be able to effectively lead.

If you plan to do it for the wrong reasons it will not be in your favor and it will not work for those you are trying to lead nor for you,

We need to understand that Jesus is the way and the word and you're not going to get to heaven just by sitting on a church pew.

Everyday we need to live our lives as we would want to be treated and stand for what we believe,

For if we don't believe in his word and follow it we'll surely fail and will never be able to achieve.

I have received more blessings and favor from trusting and turning every care over to God in the last year,

And I am so thankful for being able to live my live without worry and fear.

You have no idea what things you can accomplish in your own life if you just trust, obey and never stray,

For he is the truth, the light and the one and only true way.

John 14:6

 Jesus saith unto him,

and the life: 

 I am the way, the truth,
no man cometh unto the Father,
 but by me.
