Don't be the victim

I've learned a few things over time about dealing with highly difficult, impossible people,
They tend to share these three main characteristics that's not so peaceful,

They cannot be reasoned with,  

• they believe they can do no wrong, and  

• they are convinced that everything is someone else's fault.  

If you never had the pleasure of having to deal with one of these also know as narcissists,

Here's a few tips on how to deal with them that might help you next time you encounter them because they exist.

First you must recognize these people do exist and you'll eventually encounter them,
Its really common to hear that person proclaim that "everyone likes me"
You must also realize they always like to blame people so much they have a complete set of skills at it.
Keep in mind actually the more they blame you the more they are probably the ones at fault.
If you accept responsibility for your on faults and resolve to improve yourself, then its not you,
Remember these people can do no wrong, and there is a way to diffuse them too.
You must stay calm around them and don't get angry or use angry words with them this never works,
Use the faith, love and gifts God has given you to deal with these kinds of jerks.
At some point you will have to terminate your relationship with these types of people if not physically,
Then most definitively mentally, I know this sound impossible and sounds like a theory,
But It can be achieved and never become a clone of them what every you do,
They love to be the victim an play the victim in every way and that's not you. 
Be strong, trust in your instinct that you are in the right and you are good,
And if you ever need help with these people God will be there just as he should.

Luke 6:32-35

 ³²For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.
 ³³And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
 ³⁴And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.
 ³⁵But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

We need the team...

I order to get through our daily lives and to live in God's word we need to work together for the greater good,

When there is a heavy boulder in the middle of the road a team can move it together better than one could.

Have you ever noticed how a group of ants work together without fail to build their homes,
Or how honey bees work together for the queen to build the combs?
 We all know a bridge cannot hold if one beam is out of place,
It takes every one of them to work together to hold it up and not be out of place.
A house divided will soon fall the bible tells us which isn't he way to go,

We need to work together in order to make the house grow.
All it takes is one puff of wind for a whole house of cards to fall to the ground,
As a team we need to stick together and hold up a wall and turn that wind around.
If termites get into the foundation and start to eat away, it won't take long to make it an impossible place to be,

While all along the people in the home have no idea it's happening to the house,  and it makes it hard to see.

Without progress and the teamwork we'll never see the growth and change we need,

But with it we'll see magnificent things and we'll sprout out like a weed.

Matthew 12:25 

 And Jesus knew their thoughts,

 and said unto them,
Every kingdom divided against
itself is brought to desolation;
 and every city or house divided
against itself shall not stand:

Thank God!

Every gotten lucky on a rainy day and got a parking spot up front?

That's not a lucky break you need to thank God you no longer have to hunt!

Have you ever been looking for a job and one suddenly comes along?

That's not just a lucky break you need to thank God for he does no wrong.

Ever leave the house and remember you left something turned on?

That's God's way of letting you know he's there for you so turn around to go home.

Have you ever had a moment when you thought you were at the right place at the right time?

He'll be with you all the way just thank him everyday in every way during the climb.
God does us little favors through out our day and our lives at least we can do is say thank you,
Another thing we can do to thank God for his favors is to pay it forward by helping this is how you do.,,,

Ever been in line at the grocery store and the person in front of you short a few cents?

Maybe that's because God put you there to bless them with the money and come to their defense.

Have you ever secretly helped someone out with something just to see the joy on their faces,

If not you need to try it sometime, you'll enjoy it as much as one of God's good graces.
When was the last time you took the grocery cart all the way to the buggy rack and not left it at the car?
Maybe the person who has to pick them up for the day isn't feeling well and can't walk that far?

When was the last time we thanked God for the small things he does for us during our daily lives?

We must do this everyday like breathing before he arrives.

1 Chronicles 16:8

 Give thanks unto the LORD,

 call upon his name, 

make known his deeds among the people.

Faith

  I'm sure you've always heard you can't always get what you want, but you get what we need,
We must understand that those needs can only be met by faith, hope and love indeed.
While all of these are vital to your needs Faith is the one you'll need when you find yourself disheartened,
Especially when you find yourself not getting the things your wanting,
You need to keep in mind what God's has in plan for you might not be what you expected,
But he his plans are abundant and you'll be great at what ever it may be so don't reject it.
Also while you're keeping the faith never give up the hope and he'll always meet those needs,
And love every word he gives you and he'll be there with those good deeds.

Mark 11:22

 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

Success

To be successful at anything you must discipline ourselves in every way,

Whether its in business, finance, diet or just what we say,

If you can plan your pleasure things such as vacations then why can't we plan the harder things?

We need to begin to plan the hard things in life even though we know it stings.

We need to plan the tough things like our time with God, our savings, exercise and stuff,

This is especially true today while these hard economic times are ruff.

We're going to have to layout a  strategic plan to be a success in life,

We can get to where we want to be if we design the correct plan without any strife.

Although these goals we make may be met with devilish entanglements and road blocks,

We just need to carry a mental hammer to bust up those lumps as though they were rocks.

Then if the block is so big you can't get through it then turn it over to the one who will fix it for you.

With prayer and trust Jesus will help you with anything and get you through.

Joshua 1:8

 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth;
but thou shalt meditate therein day and night,
 that thou mayest observe to do according
to all that is written therein:
for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous,
 and then thou shalt have good success.

Breath taking

Oh! the morning mist gives the illusion of a mountain lake,

But what you'll actually find is the morning's dew and your breath it will take.

No one can imagine a place in their mind so pleasing to the senses,

Than the places we get the enjoy everyday only by which God hand dispenses,

Today you may find the mist lying on the mountain tops as and the morning fog lifts,

Tomorrow it may be the leaves changing to show their glorious colors as the seasons shifts.

No matter which you prefer to view you will find it anywhere you want to go,

I think this has been a perfect place to live a grow.

When your tired....

When you're tired and can't stand on your feet,

And there are days you just want to get away for a little retreat.

What a more beautiful peaceful place to sit and relax than at the bottom of a waterfall,

You can sit an watch the water as it splashes off the stone layered wall,

The sounds of the water as it cascades to the bottom of the huge stones,

Each burst as if it's  playing its on musical tones.

The rusty color of the rocks change colors with the shadows of the sun,

While the water wets them down then the sun will dry them back out as the heat changes back each one.

The water that falls its white as snow as it bounces off the pond below,

You can sit here and relax and enjoy as long as the water continues to flow.

Your mind will enjoy the calmness you much deserve,

So stay here as long as you like just observe.

Psalm 72:3

  The mountains shall bring peace to the people, 

and the little hills, by righteousness.

One Day...

I sit at the fence looking up the hill at the clouds above the trees,
They seem to try to paint pictures in the sky for me to see.
The hill is well groomed from the livestock as it looks well grazed,
I can sit here all day just to enjoy the artistry and be amazed.
The rust turned wire stretched from post to post gives the pasture a vintage view,
The only thing missing from this pleasurable scene is a mansion on the hill for me to walk through.
But I know one day I'll be blessed with my own mansion on a hill,
The Bible has assured me of that and one day of my own and I surely will.
But for now why don't you sit and enjoy this view and let your heart not be troubled,
And may all your dreams and wishes be doubled.

John 14:1-3

¹Let not your heart be troubled: 

ye believe in God, believe also in me.

 ²In my Father's house are many mansions:

 if it were not so, I would have told you.

 I go to prepare a place for you.

 ³And if I go and prepare a place for you, 

I will come again, and receive you unto myself;

 that where I am, there ye may be also.

You are great!

Did you know pearls are developed out of a grain of sand?

They very irritating to the oyster and not very comfortable to stand.

When we go through tough times in our lives it's only Gods way of molding us,

Although at times it may be difficult and we may want to kick up a fuss,
We need to understand he's doing it to mold us into something stupendous,
Then one day we'll be able use it to do something tremendous,
It's like being the clay on the potter's wheel and working it into something great,
It first has to go through several moldings and a couple fires before it comes out as priceless  plate.
But the work that's put into the the clay to mold it in to what it becomes,
Is worth all the effort it takes when the time comes.

There are always going to be hard times and trials we will face,

But as a child of God we know we'll get though these times and win the race.

I guess what I'm trying to say is we have to put up with the irritants that cross our path,
To be able to do the abundantly great plans that God hath.

Isaiah 64:8

 ⁸But now, O LORD, thou art our father; 
we are the clay, and thou our potter;
and we all are the work of thy hand.

1 Peter 4:12-13

 ¹²Beloved, think it not strange concerning the

 fiery trial which is to try you,

 as though some strange thing happened unto you:

 ¹³But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers
of Christ's sufferings; that, 

when his glory shall be revealed, 

ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

We need to be honest....

God isn't as concerned about what you do as much as why you do it,

We need to make sure we do things for the right reasons and not fall into a sinful pit.

Money or material things will never make you happy no matter how you try,

Strife and envy will never get you anywhere nor put you upon high.

We need to be honest in what we do and do them for the right reason,

Because the bible tells us we shall do well in due season.

We need to trust that God has a plan for us, although it may not be your plan,

We need believe in him and wait for him and not jump out into fire from the pan.

We can't afford to make bad decisions without thinking through them first you see,

As we wait patiently in time God will bless us with his plan, I believe it'll be better times three.

Romans 13:13

 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; 

not in rioting and drunkenness,

 not in chambering and wantonness, 

not in strife and envying.

James 3:16

 For where envying and strife is, 

there is confusion and every evil work.

This photo was taken at Toccoa Falls located on the campus of Toccoa Falls College, a Christian undergraduate school. Toccoa supposedly means "beautiful" in Cherokee, and the falls are definitely beautiful. The 150-yard path to 186-foot high Toccoa Falls is easy  On November 6, 1977, 39 people were killed and 60 were injured in a flash flood when a dam upstream of the falls failed.  There is a memorial at the base of the falls to the victims of the flood.

The singing mountain

We left for the day to walk the trails in search some of nature's beauty's,
 We suited up backpacks, cameras, walking sticks like we were going for a tour of duty.
We walked for what seemed forever through the rough trail,
Thinking we'd never see the waterfall began to seem like searching for the holy grail,

Up the winding path around the tree line we could begin to hear the water getting louder,
Then once around the bend we were there, the silky water flowing as white as powder,

The sound of water gently flowing over the layered rocks sounded like music from mountain,

Till it swirled at the bottom for one final splashing up as if it were a fountain.
We could sit and enjoy the songs of the streams for hours as it played,

Oh! the glorious tune it was singing was one of the most splendid sounds ever made.
So next time you have the chance to sit and adore one nature's songs,
Just settle in with ts gracefulness and sing right along.

Psalm 105:41

 He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out;

 they ran in the dry places like a river.

No worries!

Pray about everything worry about nothing!

WOW! that's the answer for everything isn't that something?

Have you ever heard the expression "If I only had a dog's life?"

No cares, no worries nor troubles or strife.

Stress is a choice we choose to make,

We need to choose the steps to fix this no matter what it takes.
When a burden falls upon your heart strings,
You should just let it fly away off the back of one of Gods angel's wings.
I know these thing are hard to do as I struggle with them as well,
If only we could make it all go away with some magic spell.
But there's not a magic spell just a trusting hand,
And the Bible assures us God only give only that which we can stand.

1 Corinthians 10:13

 There hath no temptation taken you but such 

as is common to man:
 but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to 
be tempted above that ye are able;
 but will with the temptation also make
 a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

The woodpecker

I spend the day pecking on the trees making music you to hear,

If you get to close to me you might scare me away and I'll disappear.

But for now I'm going to let you take this little peek at me,

But for now as I peck my lunch out of this little tree.

 You'll see me grasp the tree with my sharp feet and hold on tight,

Then with all my might I pull back my neck and peck at the speed of light.

While I'm considered a bit antisocial I don't mind you seeing me sometimes,

But mostly all you get to hear is my pecking chimes.

Psalm 11:1

                                              In the LORD put I my trust:

 how say ye to my soul, 

Flee as a bird to your mountain?

Divided

Never ask God to use you because let me be the first to tell you he will,

He will begin to use you in ways that would bring your spine to a chill.

I don't like to share things with people about my dreams,

Because there have been too many times they've become reality days later it seems.

I feel this is God's way of telling me ahead of time what to expect,

Or maybe when stuck at the crossroad, which path in the road to select.

I've been burnt by the fire the past year there fore I stay far away,

It's going to take a lot for me to trust again which may take forever and a day.

But one day I hope and pray I'll get there soon with the Lord by my side,

For its with him I believe it'll be the only way I'll be able to because I've tried.

Mark 3:25

 And if a house be divided against itself,

 that house cannot stand.

Forgive?

To hate is to murder as far as the heart is concerned,

This is a hard pill I've had to swallow and a hard lesson learned.

You can hate someone for something they've said or done,

But you'll be surprised to find out you're the one suffering while they're out having fun.

If God can forgive us for all the things we've done in our lives,

Then why can't be stand strong in God's word and be one who stands strong and forgives.

God wants us to enjoy our lives and be happy everyday we're here on earth,

And that includes living it with no regrets and forgiveness for what its worth.

Trust is something I struggle with on a daily basis and I guess I always will,

Because to find that true friend you can count on is as rare as a two dollar bill.

I've come to discover there is only one true person out there you can lean on at anytime,

He's always there anytime, anywhere and never asks for a dime.

He never ask's for much all you have to do is  bow your head in prayer,

And he will answer you and he'll always be there.
So take your forgiveness and troubles to the Lord in Prayer,
And with the his forgiving love he'll be there and help you through your despair.

Matthew 6:15

  But if ye forgive not men their trespasses,

 neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Me, Myself & I

There are many days I find myself arguing with Me, Myself, and I,

Me tries to be the funny, witty unreasonable type of guy,

While Myself and I just try their best to keep up and stay out of trouble,

There's lots of times they try to team up for the daily double.

I guess what I'm really trying to say is there's many types of people in all of us,

We just need to find the one's who inspire us while showing the those that causes the less fuss.

I know there are days when the three of my gals always like to have fun,

And there have been some days when they've may have wanted to run,

But the older I've become and the more I've learned,

I have to try my best control them and the more wiser It's made me become.

But I make no promises to you this day as I am here to say,

That tomorrow Me, Myself and I may just want to play!

Ecclesiastes 10:19

 A feast is made for laughter, 

and wine maketh merry:
 but money answereth all things.

Fulfill your dreams!

I heard once If your not impressed by what you can do

Then you can't be depressed by what you can't do.

I think everyone has they're own strengths and weaknesses to find,
Your's may be to dance, teach, preach, or just to help all mankind,
You have something special inside you and that you must believe,
  God will use you in ways you'll never conceive.
No matter how big or how small you think your talent may be,
You should begin to use it, share it and glorify it with glee,
Because there may be someone out there just waiting for that one special thing you do,
That will change them and give them that momentous break through.
So I ask of you this day no matter how small it may seem,
Get out there and fulfill your true dream.

Matthew 25:15

  And unto one he gave five talents,
 to another two, and to another one;
 to every man according to his several ability;
 and straightway took his journey.

The Fight

 What you think you can easily be what you become!
There are many things in your mind you may want to escape from.
I'm learning daily that this is so true,
Because there are days if I wanted to I could stay blue,
But with just a few changes in my mind set,
I get out of bed change the way I think and then get most of my goals met.
I know from experience there have been many, many days I just have to make myself go,
And I'm sure if you think about it there are times you also have to do so.
I know there's lots of people who are out there that do have problems they can't over come,
But as for me I will not become one of those who succumb.
 I'm sure you've heard the quote "Where there's a will there's a way"
This is wise but true statement that I choose to use everyday.
I live with pain on a daily basis some days are unbearable,
But I continue to go on without complaint until one day it becomes repairable,
I encourage anyone who has these hidden problems to unite,
Because one day we will surely win this fight.

Exodus 14:14

 The LORD shall fight for you, 
and ye shall hold your peace.

Sunrise

As the sun slowly rises over the Mountain tops you begin to see the outline of the ridges,
The view is as breath taken as if driving over some of the worlds highest bridges.
The higher the sun gets the more vivid the blues of the mountains become,
As you sit and wait for God take his hand and show the blessed sun.
With his hand the orange skies in the morning  he gives you such a painted sky,
Just think about all the people who never stop to look and just pass it by.
I say always take time to enjoy every day from beginning to end,
Because today maybe the day you meet a new friend.

Psalm 76:4

  Thou art more glorious and 

excellent than the mountains of prey.

Only in Western NC

The sky is blue the grass is green,

Any where you look there's a beautiful scene, 

God gives us the mountains, valleys and seas, 

When we step out on a fall day we get to feel the gentle breeze.

The wild animals roam the North Carolina mountains free,

Why don't you take a trip by here one day and you'll see.

I think we live in one of the most wonderful places on earth,

I'm so glad to call it the place of my birth.

If you've ever been here you'll surely know why it's called God's country,

If you've never been just come on up you'll enjoy it I guarantee.
