Don't be known as your affliction

Don't let your afflictions no matter what they are become who you are

Just because you have a problem don't become known at the person with that problem

We can allow ourselves to become consumed by our anguish

Don't sit around waiting on others to do for you thing you can do for yourself

While at times everyone gets down, there is no reason we have to stay there

Nor do we have to live there.  Great each day with the attitude that it will not beat you

Don't let it cross your path will destroy or suck out your joy

It is your choice to allow others to take away from you.

If you had money in your pocket and someone was trying to take it you'd fight them for it

Do the same for your happiness and joy

Don't allow the devils angels steal what God's put into you for you to enjoy

Live life, enjoy it, don't allow others to destroy it no matter the cost.

You'll always have someone to back you up no matter what the day brings

God will always help you through the wilderness and lead you to the promise land

Just as he has done for others many times before.

Galatians 6:9-10

⁹ And let us not be weary in well doing:

 for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

¹⁰ As we have therefore opportunity,

 let us do good unto all men,

especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Find a bloom

There are times when the flower opens up you find something divine

People too have stuff hidden inside and for some reason they are unable to shine

Don't judge those around you by the what you see on the outside alone

Because you have no idea what it is that has cut them to the bone

People are not made of amour or have bodies of steel

So they may for many reasons hiding what may be real

Trauma and tortured from days gone by

May only be a part of the reasons why

Don't you worry or take it to heart 

For it may in no way be anything done upon your part

But you can just be a support and foundation for their heart

This is what it really takes to open them up to show the bloom

Don't worry they'll one day find their way out of their gloom

Psalm 103:15

 As for man, his days are as grass:

 as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.

Lay your burdens down

Stop and take time and enjoy the blooms that are before you

Smell the fragrant allure they may be giving out too

Enjoy natures beauty at every corner no matter where you are

Sometimes its these things that will get you out of your blur

Or maybe its a gentle blur you need just to get away

If that be the case just pull up a chair and just stay

Spend all the time you need to meditate in your own mind

For this is what it take to keep you where you remain kind

We don't always have to be what others are to be happy in life

Nor do we have to have their things to end our bitter and strife

We are responsible for our own joy in life so begin today

Find it somewhere some how and let it stay

Just lay your burdens down and never return

For you will find the rest it is you yearn

Matthew 11:28-30

²⁸ Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, 

and I will give you rest.

²⁹ Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me;

 for I am meek and lowly in heart: 

and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

³⁰ For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

The clouds will pass

Hiding in the clouds is the sunshine 

Sometimes its like your happiness a bit hard to find

Even though there are days that the clouds may roll in

Know that tomorrow they'll be gone and anew you can begin

Not everyday is promised to be bright and clear

There are times we must learn to live with the darkness for it will appear

But its of this darkness we know there will come the light

In this darkness also you find the hidden secrets that will help you with the fight

Know the clouds will one day roll away when the storm passes

And out from the storm you will find yourself stronger, wiser and with the power to outlast

We all must go through the clouds and storms from time to time

But to come out and through it will be well worth the climb

Psalm 18:11

 He made darkness his secret place;

his pavilion round about him were dark 

waters and thick clouds of the skies.

The game

What does it take to win the game

From where I sit no one is ever treated the same

You have to fight for every score you make

Why to you have some that give and others that just take

You should look at your priorities and where God is leading you

He is the guiding light that will get you through

While others take advantage and use and abuse

They too one day will have to pay those pricey dues

For no one who treats others as if they are dirt beneath their feet

Will ever be happy with what they've accumulated to eat

It will be bitter to taste although they will never let you know

It is just misery inside that will never show

Until they make it right where right is due

You keep the faith and go where ever God and your heart leads you to.

Romans 3:9-10

⁹ What then? are we better than they?

 No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles,

 that they are all under sin;

¹⁰ As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

Just 4 my friend

I was standing by the rivers edge one day

Trying to think of just what to say

When it finally came to me that words would not do

Where clearly a smile and hug would ensue

So I continued on down by the river to hear the rustle of the waters

Thinking of my friend who unjustly suffers in silent just like always

I want you to know I feel your pain, know your troubles

But know that you are a strong person and you will survive your struggles

I believe everything happens for a reason

And everything will work out in due season

But until that time comes and you need a friend or just a hug

Know I'm always just a call away, and we'll talk and sweep those troubles under the rug.

Psalm 7:9

 Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; 

but establish the just:

 for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.

Long days

The days are long and the nights are longer

The pain never leaves it just gets stronger

No relief seems to ever come no matter the change

Will peace ever be found so I can manage

The tossing and turning all night just to find the days meet you with more affliction

This comes mostly from those who'll never understand so they just cause friction

Words spoken although you think are never heard

Just make the stings sharp so don't think they go unheard

Stop pretending to be a friend to those who suffer if you're not

For they have a special sense for this and they know and you'll only get caught

Be a true friend, be compassionate, don't be a fake friend 

Be true, stay true, and be who God wants you to be till the end.

2 Corinthians 7:12

Wherefore, though I wrote unto you,

 I did it not for his cause that had done the wrong,

 nor for his cause that suffered wrong,

 but that our care for you in the sight of God might appear unto you.

God lives in you not in a place

Lots of people think the only place to find God is in Church

Well I'm afraid to tell you this day and age God has away from more churches than he's in.

Just because you go to the house of the Lord every time the doors open doesn't get you into the kingdom of Heaven. 

God lives inside each and everyone of us.  He's not in a place.  You can talk to him anywhere, anytime and anyplace.  

He is always there for you when you need him.  He'll be there at your highest of highs or your lowest of lows.   Know you can call upon him anywhere.  

Where ever you are trust he is there, he's never left you, he'll never give you anything more than you can bare.

Many times he will give us things to go through to test our faith, just continue to trust for he'll always be there.

If you do your part and trust your faith in him, he in return will do his part and bring your through and out the other side with such glory.

Psalm 27:4

 One thing have I desired of the Lord,

 that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house

 of the Lord all the days of my life, 

to behold the beauty of the Lord,

 and to enquire in his temple.

1 Corinthians 10:13

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man:

 but God is faithful,

 who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able;

but will with the temptation also make a way to escape,

 that ye may be able to bear it.

Let go, say no

Sometimes we feel like we're just hanging from the edge

Holding on with just a few fingers just before you fall ledge

We struggle and struggle not to fall off for the fears

But from some one looking in it's not what it appears

But there you are using all you have just not to fall off in to the unknown

But what you don't know is you may be as a butterfly once gone

You may find you have wings and can fly above and beyond where you were hanging on

Just imagine had you had let go of that long ago where you could have flown

You'll never know who or where you'll end up by hanging on to things that are wrong for you

Let go, get away, follow your dream and things will come through

You will find your peace when learn to let go of what is dragging you down

Learn stop pleasing people and please God instead and things will turn around

Galatians 1:10

 For do I now persuade men, or God? 

or do I seek to please men? 

for if I yet pleased men,

I should not be the servant of Christ.

Whats your path

The path may be long, and your strength may be gone

But all we have to look forward to most days is the promises of God's new home

For it's the promise that one day that I will dwell in the house in the Lord forever

Even though there on the path there are things there trying to block you where ever

The joy of knowing that we'll one day find a way to the end of the road

Enjoy the things to which He has given us here on earth and what gifts he has bestowed

Many days you will look ahead and think you'll never find the end

But with faith and desire you too will make it around the bend

Never give up, keep going along your path of glory

Psalm 27:4

 One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after;

that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,

 to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.

The hurt

The clouds roll me like a mid day storm

But the pain grows more intense as it get warm

People may whisper against me and say their lies

But until you know the affliction that stings like the lighting from the skies

There are days it's virtually impossible to move, walk or sometimes even take a deep breath

Some days you are as normal as any other then the next day you feel like death

No one knows why it never stays sunny everyday 

Just as there is no reason why the pain cannot stay away

Never judge, never mock, or disbelieve

For this is just as real as the viscous storms comes without warning a summers eve

Psalm 41:7

 All that hate me whisper together against me: 

against me do they devise my hurt.

Nahum 1:3

 The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, 

and will not at all acquit the wicked:

 the Lord hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm,

 and the clouds are the dust of his feet.

Never grow weary

The mountain looks hard to climb and far away

But we've got to keep going with faith and strength to reach the top

Struggles are just an obstacles put in place by the devil to hinder us

Do not grow weary, along the way, keep up the fight

In due season you will reap the rewards you are due

Keep the path you are destined to be on

Never allow anyone to obstruct your view for it is a glorious one

Speak out against the ones who come out against your destiny

Renew your strength daily with prayer

Keep your faith, stay the path and you will reach the top of that mountain

Isaiah 40:31

 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength;

 they shall mount up with wings as eagles; 

they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Galatians 6:9

 And let us not be weary in well doing:

Be whole

Like the pedals of the glorious rose our lives have many layers

Each one unique in its own way but together they make an individual attraction 

If just one of those pedals were missing you would notice it was gone

The flower's bloom would no longer be the same

It takes each and every pedal to make the flourishing flower

This is the same throughout our lives it takes everyone

If it's your family, friends or co-workers you may need everyone to make the flower complete

Use those around you to make you whole, keep them so that you flourish with beauty

 Job 40:10

  Deck thyself now with majesty and excellency; 

and array thyself with glory and beauty.

Enemies will pass

You may from day to day face challenges that the devil has put before you

But these are only obstacles placed there for you to go through

But know this and for those out there in the way

Be mindful of those to speak blessings then cursing

For this is not so in Gods word

Enemies that are mine and that rise and come before me

Will soon flee me just as fast as you've come times seven

This too is a promise given unto any child of God 

Just as the waters flows so too shall your blessings and enemies will flee

Trust in the word for it is true

Send the devilish ways back out the way they come.

James 3:10

 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. 

My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

Deuteronomy 28:7

 The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise

 up against thee to be smitten before thy face:

 they shall come out against thee one way, 

and flee before thee seven ways.

Loves us much

The river flows past the evergreen trees, rooted in the waters edge

Growing strong so each leaf does not wither, and it's made itself a natures hedge

The water ripples down the rocks given them the smooth luster

You may even find a few of them washed up along the banks in a cluster

The clearness of the stream is as glass hung from a windows sill

While standing here it freezes you to a point to where you just stand still

Hypnotized by the sounds of nature, memorized by the beauty of the shore

Oh this is only a small tease to what Heaven has in store

Wander here every chance you get or find a place to enjoy God's touch

He has created all these things for us to enjoy for he loves us so much

Psalm 1:3

 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,

 that bringeth forth his fruit in his season;

 his leaf also shall not wither;

 and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Blue ridge Mountains

The mountains smoke with beauty and fume

Below in the valley you find flowers in sweet bloom

Mountains as far as the eye can see 

Blue as the sky with the out line of a tree

Paths along the mountain ridge to view the valley below

The Blue Ridge Mountains is the only place to view such beauty to bestow

Enjoy the smoky mountains on a clear summers day

And you will find memory you  can always take away

Psalm 90:2

 Before the mountains were brought forth, 

or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, 

even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

Find greatness

Lonely looking down the track

Thinking you can never turn back

Whats around the turn ahead

Misery, despair, or just plain dread

It looks faraway and abandoned

Will it lead me to a place where I'll be stranded

Take the risk, feel the anxiety 

For without exploring the possibilities we'll never make it in society

We must move forward and make the changes in order succeed

For staying in the same rut you've placed yourself in will be torture guaranteed 

Turn the corner, take the risk find the new ground

Then sit back and enjoy the greatness you've found.

Ephesians 1:19

 And what is the exceeding greatness of

 his power to us-ward who believe, 

according to the working of his mighty power,

Honor, respect

As you go throughout the day

To you often find yourself going astray

Burdened or worried for no apparent reason

No matter the time or the season

There is only one way to get on track and regain your mind set

You have the power of love that hath been given to you so use it without fret

Never fear be sound in mind, honor others as this is a sign of respect

Then in return you will receive more in return for you to collect

You will never receive anything you're not willing to give

This should be the principle to which you live

2 Timothy 1:7

 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; 

but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
