Years have past the fields are high,
But the barns look the same to the visible eye.
But as you get closer wadding through the grassland,
Just to find there's not much left there to stand.
The board are old and tattered,
The roofs are thrown and scattered.
The fences need mending as they are barely standing,
For the most part it's hard to believe they are still existing.
But from a distance as you well can see they look great and fine,
This can be like a people sometimes when you only look from a tree line.
When you get up close or get to know them you may find,
They're not what you first saw and you wonder what happened to the kind.
But just as the barns are still standing although they may look like they are unstable,
There are many people out there just the same and you may think they are not stable.
But remember there's a reason just as these are still standing,
They do may have a long story to which you have no idea of it's lasting branding.
Never judge people from a distance nor once you've come up close,
For you may never know the history nor the trials that's kept them standing by choice.
Psalm 72:4
He shall judge the poor of the people,
he shall save the children of the needy,
and shall break in pieces the oppressor.
